VINI LA CRICCA
La Cricca is the story of a meeting, the one between the Winefathers (Luca Comello and Luca Latronico) and the winemaker Giacomo Orlando. A chance encounter, or perhaps one destined to happen.
There are Luca C. and Luca L., lifelong friends, from the days when they chased a football in Udine, just as they would later chase their dreams. Their passion for wine grew after developing and launching the innovative platform The Winefathers, aimed at supporting the projects of Italy’s finest artisan winemakers. But they were on the hunt for a new idea.
And then there’s Giacomo, a young winemaker who feels the same urge to create something new. Giacomo is a talented technician, capable of producing excellent wines, but he wants to share his project with someone.
And so, we form a group—a cricca—with one shared desire: to create authentic wines capable of evoking emotion, recalling a memory, or bringing forth a feeling. Stubborn wines, as we call them.

OUR LAND, OUR WINES
BETWEEN UDINE AND COLLI ORIENTALI DEL FRIULI
Drawing on our diverse experiences and our love for the land and its values, we began with small steps and the utmost attention to sustainability: a few bottles, all numbered, aimed at highlighting the best expressions of our region.
Our wines have Friuli in their DNA. The work in the vineyards of the Colli Orientali and the celebration of the harvest. The Sundays at our grandparents’ house where Friulano wine was always present. The laughter and gatherings in Udine’s osterias.
The vineyards and winery are located in Craoretto, a small hamlet in Prepotto, where Giacomo manages the farm that produces our wines. Strategies and ideas are born in Udine, where Luca and Luca live, and from where our products move, seeking their small place in the world.
Friuli, a borderland, a meeting point: between the Colli Orientali and the Collio, Italy and Slovenia, the Alpine winds and the Adriatic breeze. For us, it’s a magical place, where our dream was born and where we continue to nurture it.
We have been gifted with a unique combination of culture, soil, climate, and grape varieties, and it’s our responsibility to enhance this heritage. At least, that’s how we see it.
